In order for our Division 1 boys and girls teams to play finals at Giants Stadium on 6/16/01 prior to MetroStars game, our season must be completed by 6/9/01. All makeups for weather, tournaments, State Cup commitments, will be governed by our 10-day makeup rule. No exceptions, each delegate must coordinate with their respective game chairmen so that the games are played or risk a forfeit.
Frank reports that the USSF is again asking for a raise in the price of player passes in each state. It will be anywhere from $.50 to $2.00. Frank will advise when final decision is made.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT - Charlie reminded all that our annual dinner dance is on Saturday March 10 at the Wayne Manor, 7pm. Charlie asked for and was given a final count of attendees, and the tickets were distributed to the clubs in attendance. If there are any changes, if any tickets are needed over the amount distributed call Charlie. Charlie again asked that he be notified if your club cannot attend let us know so we do not have to pay for the dinners.
TREASURER’S REPORT - Patricia - Opening Balance $62,296.90; monies in and payouts leave ending balance of $61,546.00 - Copy of treasurers report distributed to clubs present.

GAMES CHAIRMAN’S REPORT/Girls - Ken - Flights discussed and finalized. The girl’s season will begin on 3/18 and end 6/3, if there are any problems call the games chairman. The schedule will be posted on the internet as soon as possible.
REFEREE ASSIGNOR’S REPORT - Carmelo - As has been posted on website there is a referee school the weekend of 3/3-4 at RiverVale. Any candidates are asked to attend as we are short of refs.
Carmen again advised of the abuse our referees suffer and it causes us to lose too many.
Important reminders - (a) All fields are to be checked 3 hours prior to game to make sure that they are playable. (b) If there is a problem the ref assignor and games chairman is to be notified immediately. (c) If there is to be a field change between clubs, delegate only must call the ref assignor and games chairman. If no notification made and ref goes to wrong field, there will be a double forfeit and fine for both clubs. (d) If a club is in an outside tournament, State Cup, etc. and the league is not notified causing the ref to show a fine and forfeit are in order.
(e) if your club does not receive a call from a referee by Thursday evening, you must call the appropriate referee assignor to verify your referee and game that weekend. Division 1-2 Carmen; Division 3-4 Nick; Division 5-6 Mike
ARBITRATOR REPORT - Vince - No report
SELECT TEAMS REPORT - Tom - Select tryouts schedule for 3/24 and 3/31. Times and division will be posted on the website. We are still in need of coaches for some of our teams. For those who wish to coach or those who do not have access to our website, call Tom.
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR’S REPORT - Pete - Frank reminded all that each club is mandated to supply volunteers to work the tournament or be assessed as in the past. It is easier for the league and less costly if we have volunteers instead of hiring persons to run our tournament.
REGISTRAR’S REPORT - Ernesto - In spite of written and verbal instructions, there are still many errors in filling out the registration packages. Time is short for those who have not submitted their completed packages for the spring. When you are ready call Ernesto and Nick.
OLD BUSINESS -
Frank reports that he is to attend a meeting on the Y League, which he reported on at the last General Membership meeting. This is of the highest caliber in boys divisions U14; Ul6; and U18. Girls U18. This will be an expensive proposition which will after three years require a full time paid staff. The tryouts will be open to MYSL players at first and if necessary the league will open tryouts to other leagues. Frank will report back to the league developments
Meadowlands United wished to discuss the goal differential problems that had been discussed at the last General Membership meeting. After discussion, motion by Meadowlands United, second by Glen Ridge - Based on a 7 goal differential (final score) the offending club that exceeds that will be fined $20 per goal over that differential, no exceptions, no warnings. Roll Call vote requested - 25 voted yes; 2 voted no - Motion carried. This rule is to become effective immediately. Delegates inform your coaches.
Frank advised that the upcoming fall season means that we will now have U11 and U12 as mandated by the NJYSA. If your team has mixed ages, the team must play up. This will complete the mandate since we already have U8; U9; U10.
Frank will have a meeting with MetroStars coach to see if a workshop can be scheduled for our Division 1 and 2 coaches. He will report back.
