SELECT TEAM PROGRAM
The President will delineate a program for the League select teams and present it to the Executive Board at the August meeting for approval prior to having it presented to the Board of Directors.
A) All players of clubs in good standing with the League shall be eligible to participate in League Select tryouts.
B) Coaches of championship teams of the previous year shall be invited to coach League Select teams, as recognition of their achievement.
C) The Select program shall be self-supporting, with all clubs sharing all expenses equally.
D) Players chosen for the Select teams may be asked to contribute towards the cost of the uniforms, which they may keep.
E) The League shall participate in the North Area Tournament, and enter one team per Division in a League select tournament.
F) Fines paid to the League during the year shall go toward the establishment of a Select Program Fund.
DINNER DANCE
To promote friendship and camaraderie among the clubs of the League, an Annual Award Dinner Dance shall be run by the League during the winter break.
A) All clubs will be responsible for the sale of ten (10) tickets each.
B) The President shall nominate a Dinner Dance Chairman who shall form a committee to insure the proper running of the affair.
C) League championship trophies will be presented to the previous year's winners (Metro Cup); the President and Suburban Cup winners hall also be recognized.
D) The "Metro Volunteer of the Year" award shall be presented to the selected candidate at this time.
SCHOOLS
To improve the quality of the game and assure the safety of all participants, the League will set up the following education courses at such times as to be accessible to all members of the affiliated clubs:
A) A coaching license being a requirement for all who wish to coach in the League, "F" license courses shall be arranged with the State Administrator prior to the start of the seasonal year.
B) More advanced courses shall be made available as the demand for them grows.
C) Every club will submit the name of two candidates for a referee school to be conducted prior to the beginning of the fall season.
D) Clinics for coaches and referee refresher courses will be conducted by the League to update the performance of the League officials.
